The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Power Mechanical Engineer Static - NWPS to join our Engineering and Planning team in Mt Isa or Brisbane, QLD on a Permanent Full Time Basis.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager - East, you will play a key role in providing technical Power focussed Mechanical Engineering specialist services to the Power Systems Engineering Team.
Key Responsibilities
- First line operational support for APA Power Generation assets in terms of mechanical equipment
- Condition monitoring of steam piping, water piping, drain systems, etc.
- Coordinate maintenance and inspection of mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, heat exchangers, condensers
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve any mechanical issues that arise within the plant
- Design and implement upgrades to mechanical systems to improve efficiency and reliability
- Contribute to Power Generation asset mechanical preventative maintenance strategies and optimisation
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering admitting to corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience in the operation and maintenance, or design / construction of rotating and mechanical equipment in the Power industry (or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of relevant Australian and International codes and statutory requirements
- Demonstrated experience around power generation asset operation & dispatch (highly regarded)
- Demonstrated experience in conducting incident investigation, reporting, recommendations, and actions stewardship
