Position Summary:
This is an incredible role for a passionate PR professional with a minimum of four years’ experience implementing PR activities and driving coverage in the Australian media landscape. You’ll have the opportunity to travel while representing exciting tourism clients and tourist boards including Globus Family of Brands, Nashville, Air Vanuatu, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and YTL Hotels.
The role will ensure the effective delivery of client work, and this will include managing a busy press office, famil programme, events, activations and a range of PR campaigns and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the successful delivery of a range of PR campaign activities for GTI’s travel & leisure clients
- Provide daily advice to clients and lead all client calls and meetings
- Provide guidance and leadership to junior PR team members to deliver quality written work, media outreach and event or campaign management
- Plan, coordinate and host (if required) media & influencer famils
- Build and maintain professional relationships with key media and clients
- Approve monthly client and campaign reports
- Write and edit media materials, pitches and other content to secure exceptional coverage results across traditional and new media platforms
- Ensure team members fulfil all required administrative functions related to the role including expenses, travel booking, and database management
- Contribute to PR strategies for clients and business development opportunities
- Identify ways to achieve team efficiency and positively contributing to team culture
- Support GTI to meet the company’s purpose and mission by contributing to initiatives as outlined in GTI’s sustainability action plan
Skills, knowledge & experience
The individual would ideally have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing/Communications/PR
- Strong relationships with PR clients and a successful track record of delivering PR results
- A strong understanding of the travel industry and experience in consumer PR
- Excellent knowledge of media & digital publishers
- Team management experience
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple client priorities and team performance

Salary range: $80 - $100K plus super, commensurate with experience
