Reporting to the Executive Manager, NIIM Operations, this critical and hands-on role is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the NIIM Wellness Clinic which is based in Hawthorn.
The Clinicis a large practice with 18 Integrative GPs, 10 Nurses, 8 Allied Health Practitioners, 4 Naturopaths and 9 medical reception/admin staff. The clinic is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
You will be required to apply your well-honed leadership skills to oversee the multidisciplinary teams across the clinic and lead the admin team effectively so that they can in turn provide efficient administration and exceptional customer service support to patients, practitioners and peers of NIIM, including the:
- Integrative GP & Allied Healthcare Clinic
- Complementary Therapies (IV, Hyperthermia, Hyperbaric) Services
- Integrative Health Program
- Centre for Integrative Mental Health
Other key requirements of the role include:
- Managing budgets effectively so that resources are used efficiently.
- Managing the rostering of staff adequately to meet service needs.
- Nurturing relationships with all stakeholders to ensure smooth operations between GPs, Allied Healthcare practitioners, staff and patients to deliver a consistent & exceptional patient experience.
- Supporting growth by working closely with your manager, GPs, Allied Health practitioners, and ELT to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Resilience and positive engagement with all stakeholders across NIIM.
- Maintaining continuous improvement of service and quality standards across the practice.
To meet the key requirements of this role you must have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification or diploma of practice, business or healthcare administration management.
- Significant General Practice (ideally) or medical administration practices experience in a health care environment within an accreditation framework.
- A sound understanding of General Practice compliance, legislative and accreditation obligations (incl. knowledge of applicable Awards and NES).
- Ability to develop and communicate policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of Medicare, NDIS, Private Health Insurance, health funding frameworks, Best Practice Software and MS office suite.
- An excellent understanding of patient billing and receipting.
- High-level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in managing staff, work allocation and budgets.
- Ability to lead and motivate staff, champion change management and work collaboratively across multiple stakeholder groups.
