The role:
In this role you will support the Manager of Solutions Consulting as you manage the overall relationship between the multidisciplinary Clinical Program (and associated eHealth Queensland) service teams and customers of eHealth Queensland across the state. By engaging with the customers, you will coordinate and prepare proposals and support customers with their IT requirements by undertaking the initial high-level analysis and facilitating the delivery of specialised IM/ICT work packages for services covering project management, requirements development, solution design, software application development/acquisition, systems integration, testing and requirements for deployment, operations and support.
You will need to engage with clients regularly, ensuring that the products / services being delivered address the needs of the business, whilst ensuring that expenditure and timeframes remain within agreed work packages. By developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, you will identify risks and issues related to the delivery of work packages and escalate as appropriate.
Assisting the Manager Solutions Consulting in this role, you will also identify, develop, and implement potential opportunities which add value to areas of Queensland Health in relation to new and existing customers; and new or modified products and services.
Are you right for this role?
Essential to this role is clear, concise, and effective communication - with a flair for customer engagement. You'll bring a strong understanding of the ICT solution development environment, an ability to understand complex systems , and a skill in simplifying technical information to communicate easily with stakeholders, including giving advice and guidance to customers around the ICT project lifecycle. Additionally, you will be able to listen to the needs of customers and interpret these requirements to provide detailed specifications to the Clinical Program (and associated eHealth service teams) to drive work packages and facilitate provision / development of ICT solutions.
A keen eye for detail and an ability for understanding and anticipating customer needs will see you drive and expand on existing customer sales leads, whilst identifying and developing on new leads and prospects with a view to developing a pipeline of potential opportunities. Additionally, you will actively connect and enhance customer relationships, before, during and after the conclusion of sales engagements to drive future engagement, whilst also reporting on performance and customer satisfaction to inform areas of improvement.
You will be able to identify and build effective networks with a range of stakeholders internal and external to eHealth Queensland and will be confident to build and nurture trusting relationships at all levels within and across services and organisational boundaries.
Your demonstrated knowledge of public sector management practices including financial, operational and ICT project management in a service-oriented environment is highly desirable in this role.
About Clinical Program in Delivery Services Branch - eHealth Queensland:
eHealth Queensland is one of the largest Information Communication Technology operations in the state. It is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of information systems and technologies so that Queensland Health employees and health providers have access to information that supports the delivery of health care.
The Clinical Program offers various services through a fee for service business model to help customers to project manage, analyse, design, develop, test, integrate and implement ICT solutions into the Department of Health or Hospital and Health Service (HHS) environments.
