- Lead a small team to develop and deliver highly effective and targeted digital marketing and communication strategies for a broad range of exciting projects for the QAS
- Lead the development and delivery of marketing and communication strategies, plans and artefacts that are highly targeted, digital-first, and closely aligned with the QAS' strategic objectives.
- Implement activities including the development of content for electronic and online distribution; advertising; and digital and social media activities.
- Develop quality, engaging event packs, including speaking points and other media materials to support the promotion of QAS programs and achievements.
- Utilise creative digital tools, methods, and channels to tell athlete stories in an engaging and effective way.
- Lead, develop and execute communications and media strategies to ensure the QAS' key strategic priorities are communicated to audiences through a variety of media channels.
- Identify proactive opportunities to promote the work of the QAS through traditional media coverage and supporting social media content.
- Provide strategic marketing and communications guidance to stakeholders, building their trust and confidence in our advice and delivery.
- Meet regularly with key stakeholders to collaboratively deliver projects, campaigns and communication that captures the QAS vision, mission and values.
- Manage communication of key communication activity for the QAS to internal stakeholders within the Academy, Department, wider government and Ministerial offices.
- Manage crisis communications planning and implementation across QAS and in collaboration with key stakeholders across the high-performance sporting sector, wider Department and Queensland Government.
- Take ownership of your role and lead a small team, positively engaging in the team environment and supporting a positive culture by demonstrating our core values, celebrating success, and committing to continued learning and development.
