As an independent body, the Salaries and Allowances Tribunal makes decisions about the remuneration of senior public offices including the Governor, Members of Parliament, judges and public service executives.
These 2 positions are part a small team whose work supports Tribunal members to ensure its decisions are evidence based and transparent.
The team is developing policies, undertaking research and completing work value assessments that Tribunal members consider at regular meetings.
Our team is now looking for 2 people who love research and policy development, communicating with stakeholders and dealing with complex matters.
You’ll prepare reports and discussion papers which analyse and interpret information and consider government wide ramifications of policy decisions. You’ll provide advice to office holders impacted by Tribunal decisions, and contribute to the governance and other requirements of an independent statutory authority.
We want people experienced in interpreting and applying policies or legislation and with research and analytical skills who can work independently and are able to engage in discussion with high level officers.
