LOM/LT planning & Ops Support
Client
My client is a mining owner that is bringing into operation a large metallurgical coal mine in QLD. It is an exciting time to join this owners team as it embarks on a journey to develop this mine into one of the largest truck/excavator operations in the state.
The Opportunity
The purpose of this role is to provide technical review, guidance and optioneering works for my client (the owners team) and for the appointed mining contractor as the mine develops and expands.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain reserve sets and scheduling models (Spry) for the mine plans,
Review and provide guidance on the contractor’s monthly, quarterly, annual and 5 yearly mine plans and design works,
1 – 5 & 5+ year LOM planning,
Provide reconciliations of contractor’s mine plans and compliance to plan,
Provide technical reviews of the contractor’s mine planning KPI’s,
Deliver production forecasts, coal flows and budget inputs,
Operations and mining contractor support.
Requirements
Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering or relevant discipline,
Significant relevant experience in Open Pit coal mining operations,
Exposure to both owner operator and contract mining will be valued,
Substantial knowledge of mine design and mine planning disciplines,
Substantial understanding of Deswik (or similar) CAD and Spry scheduling software,
Brisbane-based position.
