A temporary full-time Principal Policy Officer position is available in the Governance, Strategy and Planning Unit, Strategy and Performance Branch to lead a collaborative approach to scope, implement and deliver an enterprise risk management solution for the department; including providing briefings and reporting to governance committees.

About the Role:
Governance, Strategy and Planning is seeking someone who is skilled at translating business requirements, driving change, working with the business and key stakeholders, to ensure we can scope, implement and deliver an enterprise risk management solution to support effective operational, strategic and enterprise risk management. You will also be working in the business and with other specialist teams to ensure risks are assured through effective processes and systems to support schools; including contributing to briefings and reporting to governance committees.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Lead and develop major briefings, reports and submissions including key departmental Cabinet submissions.
- Identify, analyse and progress strategic issues and formulate innovative and workable solutions and strategic authoritative advice based on evidence for the Minister, Director-General, Deputy Director-General, Policy Performance and Planning and other senior managers.
- Provide executive support to senior management by preparing major policy papers, briefings, reports, and submissions (including Cabinet submissions).
