About Us:At the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC), our primary responsibility is to provide support and guidance to the Premier and Cabinet to effectively deliver on the government's priorities, commitments, decisions, and objectives for the betterment of the community. Your opportunity:As Principal Policy Officer, you will:
- lead the department's policy positioning and advice for the energy portfolio, encompassing Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan and renewable energy targets delivery, energy supply, storage and transmission issues, energy Government Owned Corporations, retail and electricity affordability concerns.
- represent the department in external forums on these policy matters, and brief the Premier and Cabinet on matters pertaining to the energy portfolio to inform rigorous decision making
- lead policy advice on matters relating to international trade and investment opportunities and engagement.
- support and supervise other officers within a small team that contribute to briefing on energy policy matters.
