About the Role:

You will be Principal Project Officer in a Local Support Team for the Partnership Initiative, supporting the local implementation of a integrated response support model for schools in complex communities.

Duties of this role include:

  • Providing specialist advice and developing processes and support materials to support the implementation of the Partnership Initiative project and the specialist school supervisor;
  • Supporting community liaison and/or providing public information on programs, activities or services, including representing the department at public meetings, conferences or seminars;
  • Using data purposefully and ethically to evaluate or monitor the progress of initiative at school, community and program level;
  • Preparing Partnership Initiative representations to the Minister, responses to Parliamentary Questions, preparing reports to government, preparing ministerial briefing notes and correspondence;
  • Ensuring effective communication, integration, coordination and liaison occurs within State Schools Division (including regions), across the department, and with other government bodies and community organisations.
  • Undertaking research and analysis of contemporary issues relevant to place-based approaches, collective impact and culturally responsive approaches to schooling in complex communities;
  • Documenting Partnership Initiative learnings to support consistent processes across schools participating in the Initiative.

Partnership Initiative Local Support Teams will work out of various locations across Queensland to support the initiative. This position will be based in Townsville/Mount Isa and is part of a team of 3.in the Department of Education's North Queensland Region

The Principal Project Officer reports to the Local Support Team Manager, Partnership Initiative;
