The Central Review Team
The Central Review team are responsible for providing a proactive and collaborative approach to working with oversight agencies that review Communities administration of the Children and Community Services Act 2004.
The team would like to establish a pool of competitive applicants from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 12 months across the Department of Communities.
The Opportunities
Following the establishment of new positions, there are currently several Permanent and Fixed Term positions available for immediate filling in the Central Review team for the below roles.
As a Principal Project Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing responses to Child Death Notifications.
- Conducting Internal Reviews and drafting Communities’ responses to the Ombudsman Western Australia (Ombudsman) to inform the Ombudsman’s review of child deaths and Family Domestic Violence (FDV) fatalities.
- May be called upon to prepare briefings and draft correspondence relating to Coronial matters relevant to Communities.
- Tracking and reporting on the implementation of recommendations delivered to Communities by oversight agencies.
- Coordinating, leading and managing detailed research, analysis and evaluation in support of the team and Division’s objectives.
- Preparing briefings and drafting correspondence relating to Coronial matters relevant to Communities.
- Working with Legal Services and the State Solicitors Office to support witnesses to prepare for and give evidence at Coronial Inquests.
- Attending Coronial Inquests.
- May be called upon to conduct Internal Reviews and draft Communities’ responses to the Ombudsman to inform the Ombudsman’s review of child deaths and FDV fatalities.
- Tracking and reporting on the implementation of recommendations delivered to Communities by oversight agencies.
- Coordinating, leading and managing detailed research, analysis and evaluation in support of the team and Division’s objectives.
