Solutions Architect

About the opportunity 

As a Solutions Architect, you'll provide expert guidance and architectural leadership in the implementation of Dayforce HCM. The Solutions Architect can expect to split their time between multiple implementation projects, proof of concepts, internal initiatives and occasional sales support. You'll design Dayforce solutions and provide technical consulting to clients, implementation managers and consultants on highly complex requirements analysis, architecture, system design, systems integrations and implementations.

• Provides technical consultations and analyses, solving complex customer problems with systems integrations and implementations.
• Leadership role in solution designs including workflow and product modeling. Designs HCM solutions at an abstract/conceptual level as well as at a detailed level. Manages integration efforts according to a standard or customized project plan to ensure quality and timely launches
• Conducts strategic review of the data flow diagram and data flow architecture. Act as an escalation point for project teams to resolve issues and provide input to Product Management and Development to help inform future design features and products
• Develops and presents detailed, complex technical information to internal and external audiences in a manner consumable for both technical and business stakeholders. Highly engaged in building content for the knowledge base and leads internal learning sessions for implementation teams
• Drive continuous improvement in product, processes and tools; developing and implementing new or enhanced technical methods and techniques to improve the consulting practice
• Works with Product Management and Development teams to provide customer feedback and help influence the direction of product roadmap initiatives and product management processes
• Works with other Solution Architects to ensure knowledge sharing across consulting practice and ensure consistent problem-solving approaches are developed. Engages in mentoring and peer coaching initiatives
• The Solutions Architect may be asked to support the sales cycle through solution design, prototyping or modeling and assist with project scoping and estimation.

Skills and experience we value

• B.A./B.S. typically in a technical field or equivalent experience, 10+ years of software industry consulting experience
• 6+ years implementing HCM solutions with deep expertise in technical consultation and analysis and problem solving with 4+ years implementing Dayforce HCM
• Deep understanding of Dayforce architecture, web-based application architectures, application architecture, design principles, relational databases and SQL,
• Expert level understanding of at least two Dayforce HCM domains (e.g., Payroll, Benefits, WFM), as demonstrated through implementation experience
• Deep knowledge of feature functionality, and implementation best practices and risks, expertise in scripting on the database to troubleshoot issues
