Based in Preston this position will identify, support and implement operations improvement projects within CSCM Production in alignment with global and regional strategies. These initiatives will enable market strategies and deliver service level as well as cost reduction / productivity improvements.
As the engineering resource for the VIC / TAS sites it is important to provide technical engineering support, and to drive continuous improvement in the safety, quality and productivity of the sites.
Additional responsibilities in this role also include:
- Responsible to Identify, Support and Implement Operational improvement projects within the Cylinder Production Sites for Victoria and Tasmania
- As the Gas Loss and Peak champion for the sites, you use tools to drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality and Productivity
- You drive initiatives to deliver service level KPIs whilst focusing on cost reduction and productivity improvements.
- In addition, you review product failures and customer return rates and optimize solutions to improve processes to address those failures.
- Furthermore, you provide General Engineering support to the production team on the use of production tools such as Peak, Qlikview and BI.
- Conducts project management on improvement projects across the sites.
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- You are in possession of a Degree qualification, preferably engineering
- In addition, you bring prior change leadership experience and successful implementation of significant change project
- Your prior Industrial site experience will be highly regarded
- Experience with quality management tools for the identification of performance deviation
- Strong interpersonal skills, to work with both management and operators alike.
