Our Company
We are an established specialist food engineering company focused in the dairy, brewing, beverage and processed food sectors, providing turnkey solutions, engineering consulting and manufacturing improvement services to a range of regional and multinational clients across Australia. Our team undertakes work ranging from initial concept designs to large scale turnkey projects based on our extensive domestic and international experience.
The Position
To support our continued growth, we are seeking a Process Engineer to further expand our process expertise to support our technical solutions, client engagement and project delivery work across our projects and performance services businesses.
We will compliment your own engineering knowledge with extensive experience from within the Process Partners team in our Melbourne and Sydney offices and deliver innovative and effective solutions to our clients.
The successful candidate will have a good experience balance between theoretical design, project implementation and operational performance. It is expected that you will have had hands on experience in assessing, improving and optimising existing plants through capital upgrades or continuous improvement.
With previous projects delivered, you will be able to demonstrate strong client relationships through the confidence of your solutions and your ability to communicate effectively with all levels within our client’s business.
The position will require you to work in projects that will vary in scale between smaller upgrades to large greenfield facilities. Therefore your role may vary from Project Lead to Process Design Lead as part of a larger project team.
Successful Candidates
To be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate:
· Strong communication skills and commitment to teamwork
· Established strong client relationships
· Technical proficiency in an engineering/technical food discipline with 3-5 years relevant experience within food or related hygienic manufacturing industry
· Ability to develop hygienic process concepts and evolve into commercially viable detailed designs
· Ability to manage complicated projects with various disciplines and coordinate a broad range of stakeholders (internal and external)
· Ability to work independently and travel to site as required
Other desirable skills include:
· Understanding of lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma or similar
· Experience in scale up of solutions from NPD to commercial operation
