Full Time Permanent Position
Band 5 - Salary Range $76,355 to $87,925 per annum + 11% Super + RDO
Salary offered will depend on level of skills and experience.

The Opportunity
A pivotal role in a growing Procurement Team. You will work directly to the Procurement Manager gathering and providing inciteful data to assist the team to improve outcomes. Your reports will be used internally by the team and guide the Council Executive on Procurement-relate matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data related to procurement processes.
  • Provide specialist advice to Procurement Manager, Coordinators and other staff related to observed data indicators, subject to close supervision.
  • Create data visualizations and present data to assist in understanding issues to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop data reporting and mapping tools and approaches as directed.
  • Assist staff working in the procurement process in order to understand the data and reach evidence-based decisions which includes activities such as price and performance analysis.
  • Monitor procurement activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and mitigate potential risks.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
  • Degree or diploma that includes data analysis, with little or no relevant work experience, or lesser formal qualifications with relevant work skills.
  • Qualifications including Advanced Excel and or other data analysis systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse, and interpret complex data, providing valuable insights and recommendations to support decision-making and enhance performance.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with the capacity to use initiative, technical knowledge, and creativity in presenting data effectively, in line with the organizational context and objectives.
  • Demonstrated capability in coordinating data with system administrators and external data providers.
