Role Overview:
As a Procurement/Contract Manager with a focus on projects, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the company's success. Working closely with project teams, they will leverage their expertise in stakeholder management and project procurement to ensure the timely and efficient acquisition of necessary resources. Reporting to the Senior Manager this role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking a technically challenging position in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to identify procurement needs and develop a comprehensive pipeline of required resources.
- Utilize expertise in contract management, particularly with the AS 2124 and AS 4000 contract suites, to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Work closely with the engineering team to understand project scopes and requirements, facilitating effective procurement strategies.
- Engage with preferred suppliers to secure the right products, services, and labor, negotiating scope and terms as necessary.
- Act as the primary point of contact for procurement-related inquiries and issues, providing timely solutions and support.
- Leverage SAP and other relevant tools to streamline procurement processes and maintain accurate records.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, demonstrating excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, occasionally traveling for quarterly engagements and working a hybrid schedule with 2 days remote and 3 days at the company's site.
- Previous experience in procurement, with a focus on project procurement and stakeholder management.
- Familiarity with contract management, particularly with AS 2124 and AS 4000 contract suites.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively manage scope and contract terms.
- Experience working in a technical environment, preferably within the engineering or construction industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar procurement software is preferred.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
