Procurement Manager (Qtmp )

We are now looking for 2x Procurement Managers to join our highly skilled, Rollingstock Delivery team for Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP). Reporting directly to the Regional Procurement Head, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of procurement and contract management services for your assigned portfolio. You will be accountable for:

• Setting up contracts with shortlisted suppliers, ensuring contracts are within the specified guidelines and working through negotiations as appropriate.
• Liaison/stakeholder engagement with associated teams, management and external project partners
• Ensuring governance of supply systems, ensuring purchasing is executed through approved suppliers, and supplier system attributes are proactively maintained
• Reviewing and evaluating technical work

This is a fulltime, permanent role, based in Brisbane.

About You:

• 4+ years relevant experience in procurement related to a heavy industry/machinery
• Degree qualification in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Commercial, Engineering, Project Management or equivalent
• Commercially astute, with the ability to influence and negotiate
• Strong people management/mentoring skills and collaborative approach to work
• Strong knowledge of procurement, purchasing and supply chain management
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) at all levels
