The opportunity

The Group Finance Team at Netwealth is responsible for the reporting and financial operations of Netwealth Group Limited and its subsidiaries. These functions ensure the efficient and effective use of financial resources to optimise financial performance while adhering to regulatory requirements.  

As the Procurement Manager within Group Finance, you will play a critical role in procurement and supplier management. You will manage and lead efforts to drive efficiency, compliance and risk management of the supplier and procurement function. This includes end-to-end supplier management and the standardisation of processes and systems for over 300 suppliers with total annual payments exceeding $50M, excluding payroll. 

You will: 

  • Manage external supplier relationships and provide hands-on support and subject matter expertise on procurement matters to Business Owners. This includes collaboration on supplier selection and contract negotiation, developing tenders and business cases, due diligence processes, and ongoing compliance and monitoring reviews. 

  • Take ownership of Netwealth’s supplier register and overall responsibility for supplier-related policies, procedures and processes.  

  • Implement a new supplier risk management system to facilitate the identification, assessment, and management of suppliers and related risks. This includes leading and communicating changes on supplier-related processes across Netwealth. 

  • Ensure supplier selection and other material outsourcing arrangements prioritise ethical, sustainable, and diverse sourcing in alignment with Netwealth's policies. Additionally, the suppliers, agreements, ongoing assessments, and risk management complies with statutory and regulatory requirements (including APRA Prudential Standards CPS231 and CPS234 as well as upcoming CPS230 and Sustainability Standards).  

  • Support the annual Modern Slavery Statement preparation and compliance process, working closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with our statement and key commitments. 

  • Collaborate with Legal, Risk and Compliance, IT Risk and Data Governance teams to ensure suppliers’ risks are appropriately assessed and managed in accordance with regulations and Netwealth’s policies. 

  • Provide internal and external reporting on suppliers' ongoing performance in meeting service level agreements and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. 

  • Manage stakeholders' expectations so that deliverables and key dates are understood and met. 

  • Support a team culture to motivate and improve collective performance. 

About you

  • Exceptional skills in managing procurement functions with experience in developing best procurement practices and policies. 

  • Experience in complying with regulatory requirements, including APRA prudential standards (e.g., CPS231 & CPS234) and Modern Slavery Statement processes and obligations. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a strong track record in commercial negotiation to successful outcomes and a knack for influencing and driving positive change. 

  • Exceptional written and grammatical skills, adept at constructing well-considered, clear and succinct communications. 

  • A collaborative mindset, adept at fostering teamwork and a culture of collaboration with different stakeholders 

  • Great time management and the ability to manage shifting priorities in a dynamic environment. 

  • Proven analytical with logical reasoning, high attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Exemplary personal integrity, demonstrating respect and empathy for others.
