Procurement Officer Full-time Opportunity (35-hour week) 19-day 4-week cycle (Variable day Off) Salary Ranging from $76,512.28 - $88,754.64 + 11% Superannuation (Depending on Experience)
The Opportunity
The Procurement Officer has a primary focus on supporting Council officers to undertake procurement activities in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and guidelines. The position holder will work within the purchasing, procurement and contracting systems; providing relevant support and training to all Council staff in the use of the purchasing and procurement systems and processes.

Essential Criteria
Certificate IV in Business Administration or other related discipline, or minimum 3 years’ experience in Procurement or Contract Management in a similar role.
Sound knowledge of procurement, tendering policies and contract management.
Ability to provide corporate training using Council’s purchasing module within the Financials System and other procurement systems.
Demonstrated high level experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint; in particular detailed spreadsheet and document processing skills.
Sound understanding of dealing with internal and external customers including written and verbal communication on a daily basis.
Previous experience in applying discretion with sensitive information.
Demonstrated ability to apply attention to detail, accuracy within an agreed timeframe.
Demonstrated experience in being able to implement and carry out instructions without further supervision.
Current NSW Drivers Licence (Class C)
