JP Hardware Supplies are a leading supplier of Hardware and Aluminium to the Window, Door and Glazing Industry. We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our team. The Procurement Officer will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, analysing purchasing requirements to obtain best bulk buy rates and negotiating best possible prices with our suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for delivering value to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain inventory levels within purchasing budgets to ensure there is an adequate supply of products to meet customer demands without resulting in excess stock or shortages
- Work closely with branch Managers to gather business requirements to ensure overall purchasing requirements are achieving best buy pricing
- Manage supplier performance, shipment and delivery scheduling, and supply chain communication
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
- Work closely with Warehouse Manager to ensure accuracy of inventory system
- Coordinate with external logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods
- Generate reports on procurement activities and inventory levels
- Work closely with CFO to devise purchasing budgets
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Procurement Officer of minimum 3 years or more
- Knowledge of inventory management software
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Possess a genuinely positive attitude and a strong work ethic
