We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to support our busy Production and Manufacturing team from Monday to Friday 7am-3pm.
The role will involve:
- Managing and maintaining inventory accuracy of raw and packaging materials to ensure consistent levels of finished product to service customer demands
- Perform Stock takes and cycle counts recording and updating inventory balances
- Entering data for stock replenishment and disposal of obsolete stock
- Generating purchase orders for packaging and raw materials
- Develop relationships with suppliers, comparing prices, specifications and delivery dates and responding to their inquiries
- Prepare, maintain and review purchasing files, reports and price list
- Collaborate with operations and procurement team to align production plans with demand forecast and inventory levels
- Monitoring supplier deliveries are correct, meet specifications and expedite if required
- Manage delegated key client liaison activities, including responsibility for client forecast and specifications
- Assist with coordination, documentation and recording of Customs and Excise activities, in keeping with ATO and Custom regulations
To be successful in this role you have:
- A strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good understanding and experience of supply chain procedures and inventory management
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Proven work experience as a procurement and inventory manager
