Our client is a community focused Federal Government Agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for multiple Workforce Procurement Officer's to join the Procurement & Corporate Services Branch in ensuring the building & maintenance of an agile Labour Hire workforce.
APS5 Labour Hire hourly rate contract spanning an initial 12 months with the strong possibility of extension. Hourly rate on offer is $55.24 + Super, to be based out of our clients Geelong location.
This contract will be within a hybrid environment, with 2 days working from home, and expected 37.5-hour weeks.
About the role
The Workforce Procurement Officer will be responsible for workforce sourcing, which includes procurement, on-boarding and financial management of external resources (Labour Hire Workers) across the Agency. You will have well-developed communication skills, including the ability to communicate in a confidential and sensitive manner.
Responsibilities:
- ensure that Labour Hire Workers are engaged through agreed procurement channels and tracked throughout the Workforce Procurement process;
- development of procurement documentation;
- collate candidate packages for assessment by the requesting business area;
- raise contracts and purchase orders;
- maintain a shared database;
- respond to enquiries as an SME;
- review all documentation received in for accuracy and completeness;
- manage the timely on-boarding of successful candidates;
- maintain a high level of communication with all stakeholders;
- maintain relationships, with internal and external stakeholders;
- other duties and projects as requested.
About you
- Federal, State or Local Government experience.
- Understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated experience managing high volume requests and ability to multitask.
- Ability to remain composed in a changing, fast-paced environment.
- Procurement experience or Cert IV in Procurement.
- Stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
- Professional document writing experience.
- Previous experience using finance business systems.
