A bit about the role
The Procurement Officer will effectively manage and support the delivery of day-to-day procurement and administration functions of the Procurement team.
You will provide procurement and contract management administration support to support effective service delivery of procurement services.
What you’ll deliver
- Provide tender administration services in support of tender processes, including advertising, managing queries, closing, arranging and coordinating interviews with tenderers and managing tender-related correspondence.
- Provide a broad range of administrative and support services such as preparing reports, undertaking research, maintaining contract records and proofreading correspondence and documents before distribution.
- Assist in the preparation of procurement and contract documentation and correspondence for a range of procurement activities.
- Manage vendor communications in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide high quality customer service and responsive procurement and contractual advice and support to stakeholders, working proactively to understand customer needs, support stakeholders and identify opportunities for improvement and/or efficiencies.
What you’ll bring
- Relevant qualifications or demonstrated work experience commensurate with the requirements of the role.
- Demonstrated procurement experience within a Public Sector or Public Service environment is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
- Excellent written, analytical and verbal skills.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check.
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
