Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop new product opportunities
- Development of support material, videos, training documents and technical information for the sales department, customers, and end users
- Monitor stockturns, margins and other KPI's
- Monitor category sales performance and conduct analysis of product performance
- Develop and complete product category reporting
- Develop and manage purchasing budgets for applicable categories
- Assist the Business Analyst with establishing pricing models for products within categories
- Develop a deep understanding of the automotive industry including competitors, regulatory landscape, challenges and future direction
- Be the brains behind strategic development and launch of product offerings
- Develop product strategies and roadmaps that align with the business strategy
- Understand the commercial aspects of products to develop pricing and market positioning strategies
- Be data driven, sharing qualitative and quantitative insights on performance across products
- Identify relevant KPIS and provide regular product reporting to track success
- Ensure strong customer engagement, analyse feedback from users and key stakeholders to shape requirements, features and product strategy
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in product management
- Demonstrated experience in a Product Coordinator or Assistant Category Management role within the retail, wholesale and distribution sector preferred
- Proven digital product management experience, including the ability to identify new opportunities
- Experience working within an agile delivery environment is essential
- Solid understanding of data analytics and how to use data to make informed decisions that will drive customer engagement and revenue growth
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical terminology into language that can be readily understood by non-technical audiences
- Experience in Automotive and/or Finance highly advantageous
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field of study is essential
- Experience in the Automotive Spare Parts industry
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills essential
- Exceptional planning and project management skills with an ability to juggle conflicting priorities
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Well-developed problem solving and decision-making skills, innovative and curious mindset
