Product Manager

Responsible for managing and executing the strategic direction of the product categories including understanding the overall market dynamics, end user needs, competitive offerings, changes in specifications and laws, and use this understanding to drive effective strategies for the organisation

Development and execution of category plans, and input into the Long-Range Plan and Annual Plan for their Engine Maintenance/Tyre Repair brands.

They serve local customers and markets around the globe, with a significant presence in developed as well as emerging markets

Role can be based either in Melbourne or Sydney

Description

Own and deliver the product roadmap

Managing the product life cycle to ensure the category continues to offer the best value to our customers, our business, and drives year on year growth. This includes:
o Pricing
o Product simplification
o Innovation/Modification pipeline and project delivery
o Channel growth initiatives
o Support and training to sellers and users
o Embedded VP across category offer

Development and execution of category plans, and input into the Long-Range Plan and Annual Plan

The role reports to the relevant Portfolio Manager for your product categories

Development of robust business cases to support progression through the Stage Gate process

Actively follow through on market insights to drive new product development/innovation in the category

Develop and maintain an effective communications strategy to key internal and external stakeholders

Profile

Industrial or Automotive marketing experience considered favourably, as is local manufacturing experience

Working in the retail environment can be considered

Product Management experience with manufactured products, including execution of product lifecycle fundamentals, including 5P's

Good Commercial acumen, should have experience in pricing , market sizing and have a passion for automotives

Strong sense of initiative, with the ability to prioritise work flows with the ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment
