Position Overview
The Product Manager supports the development of business strategies through market insights, competitor intelligence and deep product knowledge.
The Product Manager is also responsible for supporting the sales team to execute effectively by planning and delivering strong product launches, providing regular education on Convatec and competitor products and maintaining effective and current marketing collateral.
Key Responsibilities
Drive & support achievement of business results (sales, market share)
Develop regional brand plans using marketing processes based on relevant market data, customer and competitor insights
Manage product sales budgets and continually monitor and analyse actual product performance against forecasted sales
Manage the launch of new products and line extensions to optimal effect
Develop promotional/advertising strategies including digital DTC, online and social media campaigns, together with collateral that are consistent with corporate image and objectives
Coordinate market research to ensure maximum capture of target market intelligence
Identify new business opportunities and develop business case for prioritization
Analyse and develop plans to combat competitor activity
Develop, execute and monitor product strategy in market to drive growth in collaboration with sales managers
Actively support the tender submission process
Product management
Develop an sustain deep knowledge of Convatec products, and how they support the patient journey
Stay informed on Convatec's market position, key competitor activities and the latest standards of care in the industry
Play the role of Product Champion to both internal stakeholders and our customers and partners through professional engagement, providing expertise and facilitating quality technical training.
Cultivate strong business relationships
Represent Convatec at key local events and coordinate events, when required
Proactively support the Commercial team and ANZ sales team by engaging with distributors as the product expect, as required
Develop and sustain network Key Opinion Leaders in conjunction with Professional Education Manager and sales managers
Key Requirements
At least 3 years' marketing experience, ideally in the healthcare industry.
Prior sales experience advantageous.
Experience in online marketing including digital and social media
Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, and ideally experienced in the use of graphic design tools.
Strong analytical skills, with the demonstrated ability to source, analyse and interpret data.
Experience successfully managing product launches.
Experience in online marketing, including social media, desirable.
Demonstrated proficiency in making implementation plans that allocate resources precisely and looking for obstacles and developing excellent contingency plans.
Articulates messages in a way that is broadly understandable and adjusts communication content and style to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders.
Uses customer insights to drive and guide the development of customer solutions.
