About the role:
We are seeking a smart, fun and passionate Product Manager to join the Flip adventure on a 12-month contract. You will get to work in a fast-paced, innovative team and help craft and deliver the end-to-end vision, strategy and roadmap for our insurance and digital product.
What you will do:
- Work with the Head of Insurance to drive customer-centric insurance product vision, strategy and roadmap, product analytics, pricing, project management and product launch
- Advise on the state of the market and ideas for radical, non-traditional products by applying data-driven customer insights and learnings from global exemplars
- Identify new opportunities and product lines, while perfecting our current product design and profitability
- Prepare PDS and TMD disclosure documentation
- Prepare product specification documentation
- Work with the Head of Product to drive the Flip digital product roadmap
- Oversee individual digital product initiatives from conception to development to testing to launch and beyond.
- Define and scope product features and priorities based on customer needs and market trends.
- Coordinate with engineering, design, growth (across b2c and b2b) and act as a central point in the testing process.
- Act as the central point of communication and collaboration for the product initiative.
- Utilise data analysis and feedback to continuously iterate and improve the Flip product.
Support across the regulatory, financial, actuarial, and reporting elements of the Flip business
- Be a subject matter expert on insurance questions from the team, customers, partners, and regulators
- Execute on product design within the bounds of the right regulatory and internal frameworks
- Liaise with our internal and external actuaries to ensure customer value and product sustainability
- Stay across the legislative and regulatory landscape and work with legal, risk and compliance to address questions and opportunities.
Own and help scale the operations function
- Manage claims and customer support processes, tools, operations and help innovate, build and scale the claims and customer support experience unlike any other.
- Champion the voice of the customer and shape their ideal experience.
- Apply a customer-centric lens to all aspects of insurance product design, operations and digital experience.
The successful applicant should have:
- 3-4+ years of experience in digital product management with insurance industry related experience highly-desired
- Strategic and tactical, willing to be hands-on in building a world-class insurance product
- Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle
- A good understanding of regulatory environments including life insurance, general insurance and/or financial services
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience in coordinating cross-functional teams including actuaries, lawyers, designers and engineers.
- Experience building and monitoring insurance products and ideally experience within claims management and/or customer support highly-desired along with technical understanding of insurance pricing, risk and claims
- Ability to thrive in a fluid, fast-paced agile environment, tackling new challenges daily
- Result-oriented, a bias to action, ownership and collaboration
- Ability and willingness to work cross functionally with people from different backgrounds and mindsets
