The role:
This position is primarily responsible for Product Management and Product Development. The role will be working with the Senior Analyst
in the Products team and the broader Private Capital team and other stakeholders to ensure effective, accurate and timely delivery of new
funds from idea inception to launch as well as enhancing existing funds in distribution capabilities, investor collateral and fund research ratings.
Additionally, the role will include assistance in the project and stakeholder management of various workstreams relating to Product.
A key function of the role will involve driving business success through ensuring high quality and accurate analysis and problem solving by
the individual and a strong willingness to understand the intricacies of the firm and the investment landscape.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivery of new products and capital opportunities from idea concept to distribution and capital raise with best-in-class
features. This includes but is not limited to:
- Assessment of an opportunity to accurately assess its viability for the business and to investors including: financial analysis, fund economics and modelling, risk identification, competitor and funds landscape research and risk mitigation.
- Increasing the fund’s distribution capabilities through the onboarding onto Platforms and preparing succinct investor collaterals.
- Preparation of board papers / packs and assisting with reporting and the communication of key ideas to senior leaders where appropriate.
- Assist in the achievement of favorable fund research ratings from well-known research houses.
- Supporting project management to ensure wholistic and timely delivery of new opportunities.
- Ongoing engagement with the broader Private Capital team to facilitate a collaborative environment and wholistic information sharing and gathering.• Own the ongoing management and improvement of existing funds and products, including but not limited to:
- Update and revamp of investor collaterals such as information memorandums, fact sheets, monthly investor updates.
- Improving and curating pitch decks and other marketing documents.
- Annual reviews of research fund ratings.
- Completion and management of Due Diligence Questionnaires and other essential information.
- Professionally and efficiently addressing concerns or queries raised by investment partners, investors and key stakeholders; promptly escalate issues as required.
• Contribute to the overall product strategy and defining the roadmap for future product buildouts, ensuring alignment between investors and business objectives.
The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, economics or similar, with 5+ years’ experience of relevant experience in Products at an investments manager / wealth firm / financial services and related industries. Experience with Private Debt / Credit is necessary. The ideal candidate would have strong project management/product development expertise. Being a CFA Charterholder or undertaking of the CFA Program is not necessary but will be viewed upon favorably.
You are a self-starter with excellent communication, willing to be hands on, hold excellent analytical and numeracy skills, and have the ability to work effectively both autonomously, and as part of a team. You will also demonstrate the ability to take initiative and solve problems.
