Product Manager/Assistant Buyer - Supermarket Chain

Xiangyao Asian Supermarket (Happigo Supermarket)is an importer and distributor of grocery with a vision to provide customers withversatile options for quality Asian products with an affordable price tag and happyshopping experience.  To achieve ourvision, we need a strategic procurement Assistant to enhance our marketplaceoperations by focusing on different aspects of the workplace, from sourcing tomarketing to product delivery and after-sales service operators, to join ourgrowing team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

A successful candidate needs to manage the strategiesto achieve the financial plans to increase sales and profit; and in conjunctionwith the marketing and visual merchandise teams, develop effective and relevantcommunications to the consumers

• Purchase supply of products/materials
• Determine the lowest cost for products/materials
• Track and record orders
• Receive orders and document arrivals
• Analyze market and delivery systems
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
• Source and interview vendors; negotiate contracts and costs
• Analyze supply base
• Prepare requisitions and purchase orders
• Monitor order expenses
• Communicate performances and costs to management
• Recommend new processes or systems for improvement; implement new ideas and strategies
• Organize and schedule procurements in a timely manner
• Operate equipment and follow all safety procedures
• Comply to scorecard measurement system to track values
• Communicate with vendors, clients, customers, team members, and managers to align goals
• Stock Control - Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
• Receiving of goods
• Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
• Review the quality of purchased products
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices
• Prepare reports on purchases
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
• Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
• Cross-reference products with the production department
• Analyzing sales data and supplier performance metrics including quality indicators such as customer reviews, and work proactively across suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve all areas

·        Through leadership, develop a long-termrelationships with internal and external stakeholders

Eligibility & Skills

• ·        2 yearswork experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Assistant, Stock Controlleror similar role
• ·        Goodknowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaisingwith vendors)
• ·        Hands-onexperience with purchasing software
• ·        Strongknowledge of MS Excel & Outlook
• ·        Understandingof supply chain procedures
• ·        Solidanalytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conductcost analyses
• ·        Solidorganizational skills & logistics knowledge
• ·        Excellentcommunication skills
• ·        Interestand experience in e-commerce
• ·        A positive team player who influences people andcontributes positively to the business
• ·        Excellent time management skills
• ·        Fluency in both Chinese and English is essential
