About Us

Our Community is a well-established, world-leading, award-winning social enterprise that provides advice, connections, training and easy-to-use tech tools for people and organisations working to build stronger communities.

Our partners in that work are not-for-profit organisations and social enterprises; government, philanthropic and corporate grantmakers; donors and volunteers; enlightened businesses; and other community builders.

We have an ambitious agenda; we’re not constrained by bureaucracy or boundaries; we’re not interested in internal politics or egos, just in contributing something useful to society. We don't have layers of management, and we don't want someone to be a cog in the wheel of a corporate system. We want you to have plenty of opportunity to make Our Community platforms your own, and for you to be as excited about their potential as we are.

We want to help make it easy for people to join in, learn, celebrate, worship, plant trees, play a game, entertain and be entertained, care and be cared for, support others and be supported, advocate for rights and celebrate diversity. To get involved. To be valued.

Our vision centres on social inclusion and social equity. Our dream is that every Australian should be able to go out their front door and stroll or wheel to a community group that suits their interests, passions and needs - or log on and do the same.

GiveNow facilitates payments for not-for-profits through a cost-effective and intuitive fundraising application. We ensure that the transaction process for donations, membership payments and event ticket purchases are completed efficiently, securely and logically. Our digital fundraising platform increases revenue to community causes, helping people become better supporters and providing a payment solutions hub for all not-for-profits.

About the Opportunity – Product Owner

We are seeking a skilled, personable, enthusiastic and energetic professional to join our busy team to help us to identify and create new product opportunities that will drive growth and deliver great fundraising features for our clients.

In joining GiveNow, you will be working as part of a small team of people who are passionate about supporting Australian community organisations improve their digital fundraising opportunities and skills. We aim to unburden the time-poor and increase the capacity of even the smallest incorporated Australian not-for-profits to raise funds easily.

You will be the critical team member who develops and implements the planned features and needed functionality for the development team. You will be a key contributor to building the product roadmap, as you work collaboratively with the Executive Director of GiveNow

We have an ambitious agenda for 2024, which includes extending the current features and services offered by GiveNow. You will be passionate about enhancing the user experience, for both the organisations who are fundraising, as well as individuals who are donating and supporting their community.

To achieve this, you will work with the Executive Director and customer service team to identify needs and then apply an analytical approach to develop and produce solutions for the technical team to implement. You will be an integral leader of the technical team, providing oversight throughout the product development lifecycle.

This is a great place to work – we have a community minded agenda; we’re not constrained by bureaucracy or boundaries; we’re not interested in internal politics or egos, just in contributing something useful to society. Notably, with the small team does come an assumption that we do all have to take on tasks outside our direct responsibilities at times. It is a position that will require you to be involved in varied areas of the business; sometimes simple administrative tasks, sometimes reviewing marketing materials and more!

About You

You bring with you about 5 years’ experience working in a SaaS product development lifecycle. Throughout your work experience your skills and enthusiasm for identifying and creating new features has set you apart from others.

You are keenly interested in payment technology and developing new solutions in the dynamic digital fundraising market. You’re a natural problem solver with initiative and ambition and a deep appreciation for customer-centric solutions - Your goal is to deliver an experience that GiveNow customers will love!

You have experience working in an agile environment and together with your ability to lead and inspire the development team all the while promoting their growth and development.

Of course, you have strong analytical and lateral thinking skills that enable you to deliver the best solution in the best time frame. You’re highly organised and would be described as resourceful and a self-starter, yet you’re a great team player, who will promote our ethos of innovation, creativity and inclusion.

If this sounds like you and you’re excited about the opportunity, apply using the link below. We are looking for a personality with the ability and enthusiasm to not only lead but be part of our great team.
