Steel Mains is Australia’s leading manufacturer and supplier of complete pipeline systems for the transportation of water and wastewater, offering a total solutions approach to its customers.
We are currently looking for a Production Administrator (internally known as Manufacturing Clerk) to join the team at our Kwinana plant in Western Australia. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, and working closely with, Production Coordinators, Customers and the Sales team, this role plays an integral role within the business.
On-the-job training will be provided for the successful candidate.
About the role:
- Contract manage all orders and issue and maintain shop orders
- Prepare and issue work instructions to ensure manufacturing can proceed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure that all raw materials and services are available when required for production. This includes maintaining an awareness of and input to all raw material orders and delivery requirements of materials ordered by others in the organisation.
- Monitor small diameter stock levels and recommend manufacture of items for stock
- Coordinate despatch of Steel Mains pipe sales orders & customer owned pipes managed by Steel Mains
- Maintain stock control of both Steel Mains & customer owned pipe stocks in ERP system
About you:
- 1-3 years’ experience in a fast-paced administrative, manufacturing or production role
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to negotiate and build relationships with all key stakeholders
- Can understand and interpret contracts and drawings (desirable)
- Confident user of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Good multitasker
- Experience with ERP systems (desirable)
