An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Coordinator (Formulated) to join a dynamic team at Allkinds.
This role will be responsible for tracking and documenting the development and production process of beauty & personal care products by supporting the Product and Design Team.
THE ROLE:
- Implement and manage critical paths and production schedules internally and externally to ensure development, production, and shipping are on time.
- Input data into the Range Plan for purchase orders and liaise with factories to book production space for new styles and repeat orders.
- Manage item creation, maintenance, and communication of purchase orders.
- Ensure correct labels, ticketing, and barcodes are ordered and received by suppliers on time.
- Collaborate with the Group Compliance manager to ensure testing requirements are met.
- Communicate any delays or issues with the product and planning teams.
- Handle logistic issues for overseas and domestic transportation & custom clearance in conjunction with the shipping team.
- Support the pre-production process and work closely with the Merchandise Planning team to analyze return results.
- Proactively work with suppliers on areas of improvement in sustainability and quality control.
- Collaborate with the Product and Planning team to achieve sales budgets, gross profit margin budgets, markdown targets, and closing stocks.
- Negotiate best possible costs with factories, suppliers, and agents to achieve gross profit targets.
- Handle invoices and payments with Finance, ensuring D365 is updated accordingly.
- On-site in St Kilda Rd offices 5 days per week.
- Previous experience in a similar role
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in fashion, marketing, business administration or similar
- Some knowledge and working understanding of product manufacturing and formulated New Product Development
- Experience liaising with offshore vendors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with people at all levels
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to successfully multi-task and contribute to a dynamic team environment
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
