The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager; this role will be responsible for supporting production in all related activities. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders ensuring that our clients are provided with the highest level of support. This includes:
- New product introductions including validation of first articles in an NPI build and feedback on DFM issues to enable the completion of production builds whilst developing optimized builds producing high quality product
- Process Improvements resulting from actions in the weekly review of yield data
- Analysis of customer returns and internal/external CAPA’s and action improvement strategies
- Maintaining employee safety and morale by creating a safe working and efficient working environment
- Supporting/creating production documentation and work instructions
- Providing general Production Support for manufacturing processes through necessary advice and judgement on current processes and outcomes
- Performing full analysis and reporting on all major non-conformance and action improvement strategy.
- Implementation of ECN’s
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- 5 years Electronic Manufacturing with 5 years in at Engineering capacity in support of Production/Training.
- In depth knowledge of IPC-A-610
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering-Electronics
- Highly proactive, drives teamwork
- Must be a decision maker and have ability to drive projects and activities to completion
- Good reporting skills
- Experience in setup and programming of electronics manufacturing equipment is highly desirable
- Good Computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Office Tools, 'Statistical Analysis (SPC knowledge), FMEA/Risk Analysis
- Root cause analysis of production defects and interruptions
- Design to Manufacture resource
- An excellent eye for detail
