Grays Tractor Service is a family owned Agricultural and Industrial supplies company located in Dalby, Queensland. Grays Tractor Service offers a large range of Agricultural and Industrial Equipment to the region. We have been providing supplies to Australia’s Agriculture, Construction, Manufacturing and Mining industries for more than 50 years. As well as our retail enterprise, we have an on-site Engineering, Welding and Fabrication workshop which offers repair and fabrication services.
Due to the growing operation of the business, we are seeking a Production Manager to oversee all tasks associated with our workshop and extensive manufacturing and engineering division, servicing most of the Queensland country areas, with an ever-increasing demand to complete on-farm repairs and maintenance.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- determining, implementing and monitoring production strategies, policies and plans
- planning details of production activities in terms of output quality and quantity, cost, time available and labour requirements
- controlling the operation of production plant and quality procedures through planning of maintenance, designation of operating hours and supply of parts and tools
- monitoring production output and costs, and adjusting processes and resources to minimise costs
- informing other Managers about production matters
- coordinating the implementation of occupational health and safety requirements
- directing staff activities and monitoring their performance
This position is full-time, and salary offered will be no less $90,000 per annum.
Qualifications/Skills/experience required:
• Heavy equipment engineering bachelor’s degree relevant to the position and/or 5 years’ post qualification experience in production scheduling.
