We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated leader to join our manufacturing team. With a continuous improvement focus you will work closely with the production manager to drive safety, continuous improvement and promote a high performing culture.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring and evaluating operational performance of team members, including involvement in the selection and training of staff,
- Identify and actively promote continuous improvement to processes and systems within any facet of the work environment
- Ensuring a high standard and adherence of Occupational, Health and Safety
- Development and implementation of quality control procedures.
- Supervising staff and production output to ensure production, quality & OHS targets are met,
- Allocation of labour in real time to achieve production schedules.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and tidiness throughout the production environment
- Daily management of your area and team members, performance management of employees and maintaining of appropriate records
- Have the ability and confidence to have conversations with multiple stakeholders within the organisation
- Conduct scheduled toolbox meetings
- Ensure training is managed and up to date
The Ideal Candidate
First and foremost we're looking for a driven ‘peoples person' with the right attitude. Experience within the window industry or in building & construction is an advantage, however for the right person it's not essential.
You will have:
- Demonstrated ability in leading diverse teams within a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership & interpersonal skills
- Solutions focused with exceptional problem-solving skills,
- Adept at multitasking and shifting priorities & not afraid of occasionally rolling your sleeves up and getting on the line, if and as required,
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision,
- Strong organisational and time management skills,
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement & Lean methodologies,
- Knowledge of health & safety requirements in the workplace,
- Ability to drive safe behaviors within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (desirable)
