The Smith Family is a children’s education charity that helps young Australians experiencing disadvantage to create better futures for themselves through harnessing the power of education.
We are seeking an experienced Programs Coordinator to join our family. Reporting to the Team Leader, Learning for Life and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, this pivotal role will manage and deliver one of our most valuable programs – Learning for Life. The role involves planning and implementing The Smith Family suite of Learning for Life programs within the community. You will need to be able to help facilitate successful delivery of the programs, including supporting the Family Partnerships Coordinator with the recruitment of Learning for Life students onto programs. This role will be working within the Auburn and Fairfield communities.
About our role
You will be responsible for:
- Establishing and maintaining Partner School relationships and monitoring progress, planning, implementation and feedback on programs and activities
- Continually monitoring program delivery and ensure the database has accurate and up to date information
- Advocating for and answering enquiries relating to The Smith Family educational programs
- Meeting with fellow team members to discuss potential improvements that can be made to the programs
- Building relationships and working with community leaders and organisations to identify partnership opportunities
About you
As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:
- Demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating programs / projects.
- Proven experience in establishing and maintaining relevant partnerships.
- Demonstrated experience in administration.
- Holds a current driver’s licence.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated capability to manage and plan own work to achieve identified goals within time constraint.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience working collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
- Have or willing to obtain an employee Working With Children's Check
