Our client is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Project Accountant to manage the end-to-end accounting of a major transformation project. This role offers an initial six-month contract with the potential for extension, providing an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant project within a large organisation in the education sector. The successful candidate will have the chance to oversee and manage project spend, ensuring financial efficiency and accuracy.
As a Project Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of a major transformation project.
What you'll do:
- Ensure accurate and timely production of project costing reports
- Liaise effectively with Project Managers and other key stakeholders
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis
- Perform monthly variance analysis to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement
- Calculate and forecast costs to projects accurately, ensuring financial efficiency
The ideal candidate for this Project Accountant role will bring a wealth of experience and proven skills.
What you bring:
- Must be CPA or ACCA qualified
- Experience working in a project environment is highly desirable
- Proven track record in a similar role is essential
- Strong interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills for conducting detailed financial analyses
- Ability to perform variance analyses and identify areas for improvement
