Role Overview: As a Landscape Project Assistant / Coordinator, you’ll collaborate closely with project managers, landscape architects, and other team members to ensure the successful implementation of landscape projects. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and efficiency of project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers in organizing project activities, timelines, and documentation.
- Coordinate communication between team members, contractors, and clients.
- Monitor project progress and report any deviations.
- Project Planning: Responsible for the planning and setup of all jobs including site safety and inductions, documenting job plans and supporting the allocation of labour and materials. Responsible for the creation and ownership of job handover documents and operation manuals.
- Participate in site preparation tasks, including site set outs, site inductions, OHS documentation and more.
- Collaborate with the design team to implement project elements.
- Source and order materials required for landscaping projects.
- Coordinate deliveries and manage inventory.
- Raising Purchase orders.
- Obtaining contractor pricing.
- Project Scheduling.
- Inspect workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Address any issues promptly and maintain high standards.
- Communicate with clients regarding project updates, changes, and requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service and address inquiries professionally.
- Maintain project records, contracts, invoices, and permits (if required)
- Assist with budget tracking and expense management.
- Updating OHS documents including SWMS, MSDS, SOP and safety procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations on-site.
- Promote a safe working environment for all team members.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Attend workshops or training sessions as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (relevant certifications or coursework in landscaping / Project Management are a plus).
- Cert III in Landscape construction
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, project management tools).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Valid Driver license
