About the role
The Project Administrator provides a vital point of contact and central administration through the provision of program support and key administrative functions. Reporting functionally to the PMSP project manager and operationally to project appointed members, the Project Administrator plays a crucial support role in the organisation of technical information, earned value management reporting and delivery of administrative support to a variety of Programs across the organisation. The operational duties of the role are divided amongst PMSP and the Programs as a whole requiring excellent communication, flexibility and agility for implementation in a busy program environment.
Key objectives & responsibilities include:
- Stakeholder Management - Proactively engage and manage all relevant project stakeholders.
- Organisation – Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Austal administrative process and procedures.
- Quality – Prepare program documentation and reports in accordance with Austal Standards
- Time Management – Demonstrate ability to prioritise tasking, self-manage performance, utilise effective goal setting and maintain efficiency.
- Specific Duties – Proactively conduct programmatic administrative functions and support activities in a timely and efficient manner.
Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:
Essential
- Superior Organisation and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Suite Skills. Including use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- High level of literacy and comprehension skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- High level of problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Certificate level 2 – Business Office Administration and/or applicable certificate.
- Project Support and/or relevant experience working in an administrative position.
- Ability to work seamlessly in an autonomous and team environment.
- Hold a Construction safety induction (white card).
