An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Project Controller, in the Outage Strategy team, to support the assurance and oversight of the scoping, planning, execution and finalisation of Outage activities.
Reporting to the Outage Strategy Manager this role is responsible for developing processes and gathering, managing and analysing data to predict, understand and constructively support the planning and tracking of time, cost and finalisation outcomes of the Hydro Sustainment programs.
This is a pivotal role that can, by mutual agreement, offer flexible working arrangements, as Snowy Hydro appreciates the additional value such arrangements can bring to our business and to our employees. As such, this is a hybrid role based in Cooma, NSW or the Snowy Mountains region with regular travel to Snowy's assets as required by the business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Develop, implement, document and manage a Schedule Management process for Hydro Sustainment projects including standard processes, tools and templates, in accordance with business requirements and industry standards.
Maintain program and project schedules through regular discussion with project managers and outage managers and provide key milestone information to stakeholders and progress information for monthly project reporting.
Developing and maintaining the standard project WBS structure and project budgets for Outages.
Overseeing cost control by reviewing project transactions for accuracy and applicability as well as performing regular re-forecasting.
Collaborating with the outage,overhauls and contracts leadership teams to identify areas of improvement opportunities.
Providing accurate and timely reporting across scheduling and cost control to relevant stakeholders.
We're looking for someone with:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering, project management, planning or scheduling discipline (Advanced Diploma or Bachelors Degree), or demonstrated experience in an equivalent role.
Advanced MS Project skills are essential.
Computer skills in spreadsheets and Maintenance Systems (CMMS). Knowledge of Ellipse and Primavera is an advantage.
Demonstrated experience within a planning, scheduling and cost control position within an industrial project environment.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple work fronts in a dynamic environment.
Demonstrated stakeholder management experience with the ability to manage multiple viewpoints.
Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
