Project Coordinator - Insurance Building & Restoration

Disaster Solutions Australia currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our reputable team on a full-time basis in our Melbourne office. 

Dealing primarily in Insurance Building & Restoration, the Project Coordinator is responsible for the day to day co-ordination and management of building and restoration projects from first point of contact through to completion.

Key activities (include but are not limited to):

• Liaising with clients, internal staff, trades and suppliers.
• Coordination/ Allocation of internal staff and trades.
• Responsible for the flow of information from customers to the team.
• Devising and submitting assessment reports.
• Manage a portfolio of job files from project allocation through to invoicing.
• Provide accurate report writing and inventory listing/ checks.
• Monitoring budgets and cost control.
• Updating internal systems and client portals.
• Keeping constant and up to date file notes
• Data entry and filing

Other duties include:

• Approaching all aspect of work being performed with safety and quality as the highest priority.
• Working closely with Project Management/ Operations team.
• On-call duties required occasionally.
• Overtime duties if and when required.

To be considered for this role:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
• Proficiency in Accounting Software (MYOB or XERO)
• Excellent administrative and data entry skills
• A willingness to learn with a can-do positive attitude
• Have sound communication skills
• Excellent organisational skill with the ability to judge priorities and dead lines
• Meeting internal KPI's
• Initiative and problem solving ability in a fast paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
• Super efficient with a strong sense of urgency. The ability to work under pressure
• The ability to develop a working project management plan

Any prior experience in a similar position within the Insurance Building & Restoration will be looked upon favourably.
