We're looking for a motivated individual to join our expanding Projects team. Working to provide support to the Project Delivery Manager for overall function performance management, and individual Project Leads for individual Project performance management, the Project Cost Controller will support Cost Estimating, Cost Budgeting, and Cost Control activities.
Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Work Breakdown Structure: Propose and assist in the development of work breakdown structures for effective cost management.
- Project Controls Management: Oversee and manage project controls processes to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
- Project Staffing Plans: Develop resource plans for project execution in conjunction with the project schedule.
- Progress Reporting: Develop and maintain internal and external progress reports, providing clear and concise updates on project status.
- Risk Identification: Identify budget risks and implement mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
- Scope Change Management: Assist in the identification and management of scope changes, ensuring all variations are documented and approved.
- Invoicing Support: Assist in the checking of project invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
- Forecasting: Provide accurate forecasts of the value of work done, ensuring financial transparency and accountability.
- Process Setup: Establish project control processes, systems, and tools to track project performance against agreed KPIs.
- Resource Planning: Develop and maintain resource plans to ensure optimal allocation and utilization of project resources.
- Cost and Schedule Tracking: Monitor and report on Project Costs and schedules, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

- Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in project controls, preferably within the engineering and project management sectors of the offshore oil and gas industry.
- Education: Degree qualified in a relevant field, with additional qualifications in project management or project controls being highly desirable.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, project controls software.
- Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Knowledge and experience of bottom-up and parametric estimating, vendor bid analysis, cost of quality, estimate and baseline management, reporting to performance metrics, forecasting, change management, and corrective actions.
