The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for self-motivated & dynamic individual to join our team in LUMEA™ as a Project Development Manager. LUMEA™ is a Transgrid Group brand focused on renewable energy solutions in the competitive energy market.
As the Project Development Manager will lead the development, negotiation and execution of energy services transactions to contribute to the growth targets of the Lumea business.
The role is responsible for the development and execution of complex connection infrastructure transactions supporting the growth of the Lumea Energy Services Connections business. The role has a high level of client and stakeholder (both internal and external) management while managing and coordinating a broad bid team across the Transgrid Group.
Key requirements of the role include:
- Development of the client and project/bid strategy
- Development of Bid Team and resourcing required to develop the connection project and execute project agreements
- Negotiation of commercial terms including thorough assessment up upstream and downstream contract risks
- Leverage customer, competitor and market intel to ensure Lumea offer is competitive and structure a financial solution that is aligned with client drivers while achieving Lumea hurdle rates
- Leadership of internal governance approvals including but not limited to Investment Committee and Board papers
- Engagement and stakeholder management across works delivery team to develop and agree on the delivery strategy and structure for the project
- Project handover to delivery team
You will be someone who is adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment with an ability to be flexible and take on challenges with finesse and ease. Problem solving will be second nature which you will manage with confidentiality and sensitivity in mind at all times.
With your exceptional stakeholder management skills, you will build strong partnerships across the organisation and build credibility quickly with your stakeholders ensuring the best outcomes for both them and Transgrid.
What we expect from you:
- Experience in the energy infrastructure and /or renewable energy industry
- Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience
- Excellent customer and stakeholder relationship management skills including demonstrated influencing skills with potential customers, decision makers, and other relevant stakeholders
- Proven track record in the development and management of complex competitive energy infrastructure bids
- Experience in innovative Project Development and management, and well-developed problem-solving skills
- High-level business and commercial acumen with a proven track record in the development, negotiation and execution of commercial agreements
- Proven experience with pricing high-value transactions
- Experience with developing pricing strategies with the use of financial modelling
- Experience working in multidisciplinary organisations and in roles that require the coordination of multiple inputs
- Knowledge and experience with relevant database systems, particularly CRM (e.g. Salesforce) preferable
- Excellent time management and the ability to achieve deadlines through competing priorities under pressure
- Competent in the application of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements relative to the duties of the position
