We are currently working with a leading property group who have been in operating for over 30 years and work across multiple asset classes with the core focus in recent years been Mixed use developments in excess of $50 mil. Due to growth they are seeking a mid level Development Manager with strong experience on Mixed use projects.
Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to:
- Development Management - all stages of the development cycle from feasibility, concept design, development application, demolition, construction certificate, construction, post completion, occupation, titling & strata related.
- Assist in sales and marketing in conjunction with Sales Director
- Agreement for lease for commercial and retail
- Rezoning and change of use application.
- Represent the company with excellent communication and upmost professionalism internally and externally.
- Undertake duty with high quality and high-performance outcomes, enhance, optimise, innovate, inspire.
- Be proactive, raise issues early, collaborate.
- Be responsible to ensure end to end development process is seamless and is integrated.
- Management of external stake holders & external parties - including authorities, purchasers, consultants and contractors, agents, neighbours and community management.
- Leading the creation of the project brief and/or design brief
- Managing and liaising with external consultants and authorities to ensure a timely delivery of proposals, documentation and approvals
- Managing internal design reviews, presentations and sample sign offs
- Coordinating and chairing project control meetings
Mandatory Skills / Abilities / Must haves
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Property Economics, Valuation, Engineering, Architecture, Town Planning, Project Management, Commerce or other relevant discipline
- Minimum 5 years experience in property development as an ADM and at least 5 years as a DM.
- Long tenure with employer and experience on Mixed use projects start to finish
- Ability to communicate in a confident and clear manner
- Self-motivated, ambitious and proactive with a desire for ongoing professional development
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of local town planning and building design rules
- Contract and procurement skills
- High level computer literacy skills
- Ability to work autonomously, to execute multiple tasks simultaneously and to work to tight programme
On offer is a starting salary of $170k - $220k plus and performance based incentive program which will be discussed directly with the chosen applicant.
