About the PositionThe Project Development Manager is accountable to the Manager of Proposals & Business Development and is responsible for the management of the sales pipeline for assigned sectors and accounts. Core to this responsibility is actively managing key account/customer relationships to build insight into current and emerging customer needs, generating leads and converting to sales orders at a standard that meets assigned revenue and profitability targets for Yurika. This is a permanent position be located in any major Australian centre. This is a Professional & Managerial Grade Three level position with salaries starting from $186,169 + 12.75% super. The Role Some of the accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Establish new and maintain existing relationships with customers to facilitate the sale of Yurika products and services.
Maintain pipeline records, qualifying leads, and ensuring the performance of assigned accounts within the pipeline, are managed effectively to meet assigned financial targets (sales orders, gross margin on sales).
Support the Asset and Operations team through the provision of account and opportunity-specific knowledge in the development and preparation of quality proposals and quotes within pricing guidelines to leverage Yurika’s competitive advantage to obtain sales with existing and new customers.
Develop awareness of products and services with accounts / customers in line with sales and marketing plans to improve sales performance and customer advocacy.
Pursue new leads in the target markets, maintain accurate business projections in Yurika’s customer relationship management systems and provide weekly reports on business development status, and monthly and quarterly reporting of business metrics, to ensure a strong new business pipeline is maintained.
Develop and maintain account / contact plans with existing accounts / customers, provide intelligence and feedback on accounts / customer strategies and plans, prepare forecasts and trends on future business opportunities for dissemination across Yurika.
Prepare, negotiate and manage the execution of contracts of sale in line with corporate strategic outcomes and governance requirements.
Provide internal communications on sales forecasts, emerging opportunities, potential new products and services to relevant Yurika Groups, including the preparation of internal briefings on strategic opportunities, risk profiles, and high value deals suitable for an executive audience.
About you You have a proven ability to effectively sell into construction and heavy industry markets, including substantial success in achieving strong sales results through customer lead harvesting and direct selling of infrastructure works products and projects. Furthermore you have a strong technical knowledge of contemporary issues, challenges, products and project solution opportunities relevant to the Australian Energy Infrastructure and Utility Services market and an awareness of emerging technologies and solutions. You have a proven ability to work autonomously towards achieves high standards of sales performance involving consistent achievement or exceeding of targets and objectives and high rates of return from sales activities. You have the ability to generate customer insight relevant to the Australian energy infrastructure and utility services market and work collaborative across engineering solutions team in areas of product development and pricing. You also have the ability to exercise good judgement accompanied by solid financial, budgetary, pricing and risk assessment skills along with commercial acumen and entrepreneurial ability. You have the capability to operate as an agent of change within a medium sized company undergoing significant transformation to improve its commercial and competitive standing. Lastly, you have strong interpersonal, negotiation, presentation and written skills that will build trust and represent company interests in dealings with customer representatives at executive and senior management levels Essentials
Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Economics, with relevant experience leading and managing sales of large scale infrastructure projects. A ‘C’ class drivers’ licence is required for this role
Desirable
5+ years of business development experience within transmission, energy or renewables
A strong and comprehensive industry and sector network
