Project Engineer - Essential Fire Safety

Company Background

Bowsers is a long established contracting company working in the Passive Fire Industry. We have offices in QLD (Ormeau) and NSW (Matraville).

An exciting opportunity exists for a Project Engineer to join our QLD Operations Team delivering a high-quality compliance based contracting service to a variety of clients. It is anticipated that applicants would have experience in either high-rise residential or commercial projects. 

Duties & Responsibilities

As part of the QLD Operations Team, you will be:

• Generating opportunities for our work teams via site inspections, quotations for installation and repairs, and the review and submission of tenders.
• Liaising with clients and their representatives to convert opportunities and secure future work.
• Coordinating a skilled group of site staff and subcontractors.
• Tracking project progress and associated costs.
• Optimizing and improving site processes.
• Effectively managing relationships with clients & stakeholders.
• Overseeing incoming and outgoing project documentation.
• Ensuring that Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Compliance are maintained on all jobs.

Skills

The ideal candidate will also have a keen eye for detail, be a team player, be self-motivated, and have a proactive and practical work ethic.

You must be able to plan, multi-task, and prioritize your time effectively to drive efficiencies and productivity for our business.

Experience

3 - 5 years of project experience in an operational or engineering capacity will put you in a strong position if applying for this role. 

This is a dynamic and busy role that is crucial to the ongoing success of our site operations and as such, we will expect that you possess good time management skills.
