  • Remuneration: $130,901 to $148,369 pa (HEW8) (inclusive of $110,613 to $125,373 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
  • Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Project Manager to join School of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Health, Academic Division.

The position will provide project management of major projects within the GRC, including in particular the industry supported research projects and development of funding applications. Under the supervision of DProf Lyn Griffiths the Project Manager will manage the activities and logistics of ongoing projects including the staffing recruitment, financial support, milestone reporting, stakeholder consultation. The Project Manager will also actively identify funding opportunities for new major projects within the GRC and manage the development of projects from initial proposal through to project delivery, liaising with external and internal QUT partners where necessary.

The Centre for Genomics and Personalised Health (CGPH) is a QUT University Research Centre that combines innovative and experienced researchers across a range of disciplines with a focus on improving human health through genomics driven discoveries. The Centre aligns genomics research capabilities and infrastructure across the university to leverage and focus the breadth of expertise and drive QUTs research outcomes in precision health. The aim of the CGPH is to translate knowledge from human genomics research.

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training and/or relevant research related experience equivalent to the completion of a postgraduate degree qualification with relevant work experience in a related role. 
  2. Significant project management experience and organisational skills, including experience in the development of project budgets, stakeholder consultation and milestone reporting. 
  3. Demonstrated experience in facilitating staff and coordinating processes to meet key milestones and objectives.
  4. Experience in the coordination of grant bids and industry engagement.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, with the proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks and workflow to meet project deadlines. 
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills
