About the Opportunity
Due to continued strong growth, we are looking to complement our pre-established team with the addition of an experienced Project Manager for our South Australian construction business.
You will be joining a dedicated bid and delivery team working on a variety of large and complex infrastructure projects with significant civil and structural components. We prioritise making a positive impact in the regions where we operate and are committed to building a better future for everyone.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Ensure the delivery of the output required of the Construction Team is on time and to quality specification
- Utilise effective communication systems to keep direct reports and their Teams informed and up to date including setting Context & Purpose
- Implement and maintain safe methods of work utilising systems and procedures defined in the Safety Management Plan for employees and subcontractors in Construction Team
- Ensure optimised project resources, (plant, labor, material, subcontractors) for the Construction team
- Ensure all Construction Team’s planning & decision-making are made within a ‘best for project’ framework based on the Project framework
- Develop Construction Teams’ plans to reflect and recognise the Construction Critical Path
- Review with direct reports the monthly cost to date and forecast to complete and report to the Executive Director
- Optimise resources within the Construction Team by monitoring performance against plans ensuring timely action to adjust for variance and contingencies
Required Skills and Competencies
What Capability & Experience will you need to have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Extensive construction experience on large-scale infrastructure Construction Projects.
- Experience in team leadership management and motivation and communication skills
- Competent in planning, commercial acumen and organisation of work schedules
