Our client is a family owned and run civil Earthworks Construction business servicing the Civil and Commercial market in Perth and the wider West Australian region. Our client has been established for over thirty years and operate with a commitment to providing excellent service across the construction industry. The projects they undertake fall into the following disciplines; Bulk & Detailed Earthworks, Roadworks, Subdivisions, Commercial Earthworks, Stormwater Drainage, Services, Retaining Walls etc. They are specifically looking for this individual to work across Roads, Subdivisions and Civil Projects. Their reputation for service, authenticity and professionalism has allowed them the growth they have experienced in recent years.
With direct employees, numerous subcontractors and working directors, heavily involved in the everyday running of the business, the company has a vast client base, giving staff opportunity to be involved in all size and scale of projects. Individuals in the business pride themselves on delivering with total commitment to any given project and strive to meet any demand and/or deadline.
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 7 years’ experience Project Managing projects across Roads, Subdivisions and Civil Projects, the majority of projects are $1-5m.
The responsibilities of the role are as follows;
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, across the Civil Construction sectors
- Strong Management and Leadership Skills to plan and organise jobs
- Ability to Tender and Estimate on multiple tenders
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- A degree in Construction or Project Management (or similar)
- Solid experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven experience with projects up to the value of $10 million
- Proven experience with quality control systems and specifications
- Ensuring critical milestones are met in the program or prompt reporting of program slippages with recommended corrective actions to ensure successful project or contract outcomes.
- Timeliness of procurement activities to avoid unnecessary delays to project.
- Accurate and efficient financial management of all contracts, preparation of monthly claims
- Identification of areas for improvement to process and procedures that could result in better outcomes for the company and their clients
- Advanced skills with Excel, Microsoft suite and Project
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy at all times
- High commitment to Quality, Safety and Environmental practices
- Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence
- Hold a Construction White Card
Salary range for this position is approximately $180 - $190k + super + vehicle (negotiable) for someone very experienced. We are looking to attract someone with high competency in the role, someone with excellent industry contacts.
