MACS Civil and Industrial Services division covers the full spectrum of civil construction and engineering projects, from major bulk earthworks to detailed construction and engineering projects. We offer routine and preventative maintenance services for industrial infrastructures or facilities and conduct construction projects in both Greenfield and Brownfield.
We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to join our growing team in a full-time permanent role based at our Civil Project at our project on the Kwinana Industrial Strip.
- The ideal candidate would be based in Perth - South of the River.
- Must be able to work 50 hrs. per week Monday - Friday
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Effective management of the Project from start to completion.
- Ensure the project is managed within budget, completed on time, meets, or exceeds project margins, and complies with all statutory/regulatory/code requirements.
- Lead all safety areas to maintain the highest level of safety in all activities.
- Monitor progress to ensure that milestones and performance indicators are met, and preparation of reports as required.
- Successfully build working relationships with other contractors, clients & key stakeholders to ensure a continuation of future works/tenders.
- Work closely with Project Engineers, Senior Supervisors to ensure efficient delivery, prioritisation & productivity of their projects & crews
- Liaise and consult with the client to resolve any construction matters that arise.
- Assist in methodology and early client engagement, estimate, and tendering activities.
Qualities Required for Success:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
- Project Management qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in a Project Management role in Civil, Concrete Works, Road Works, and Earthworks predominantly in Australia.
- Sound knowledge of the Contract, Specification, and Scope of Work.
- Project Cost control management
- Experience in controlling all aspects of delivering quality from start to completion.
- Strong technical knowledge of the Construction processes
- Must be based in Perth WA - South of the river with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience servicing Western Australian resource clients will be considered.
- Strong communication skills.
- Effectively use MS Suite of programs including MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
